But I do have a question, how long after I purchase a tax lien do I need to get an attorney to handle this? Because as soon as I was successful in my bid on the tax lien, I started receiving letters from Attorneys and my redemption period is a year! I Enjoy All the Info You Put OutDustin, I am so wired up over this, I blew a couple of fuses. I have been reading and watching videos all over the internet about this and actually attended the Jan. auction in Dallas yesterday. This was my first one to attend. My question to you is this. If I win the bid for a tax deed, do I have to wait for the 6 month redemption period or is there a way to speed up the process to be able to get a clear title to be able to sell the property sooner? I am trying to figure all this out before I spend the little money I have. I have been in a money pinch for the last couple of years and need to get this started fast and get a return fast. I enjoy all the info you put out and am looking forward to any advice you may have on doing this in the fastest possible way.

I purchased two properties via upset bid, $6700.00 valued about $110,000.00. Waiting on sheriff to sign deeds and issue final bill. Moving on to bigger things next bid is for property valued at $1,500,000.00. I’m sure I will have questions.

You are a Positive Force In a Lot of LivesHey Dustin, Sorry about my last post after a few drinks. Anyway, Thanks for all your inspiring talks. I’m still on track to make some purchases this year. I have no excuse not to succeed. My goals are reasonable and will be met. By the way, I don’t really drink very often and am pretty much a lightweight. You sound like kind of a partier. Knock it off. There is nothing good about drinking. All of us have alcoholics in our family somewhere and know how much it sucks to deal with. You seem to have your shit together so hopefully you don’t lose it all because of the bottle. If this doesn’t apply to you, nevermind. Have a good one. We will talk again.
